Acceptable use policy
Shwastik Mail is for everyday business communication. These rules protect our customers and keep your mail out of spam folders.
Last updated 16 September 2026
1. Purpose
Shwastik Mail is designed for person-to-person business email. This policy applies to every organization, member and mailbox user, and forms part of our terms of service. Organization owners are responsible for making sure their users follow it.
2. No spam
You must not use the Service to send unsolicited or bulk email. In particular, do not:
- send commercial messages to people who have not agreed to receive them;
- use purchased, rented, scraped or harvested address lists;
- send newsletters or marketing campaigns; use a dedicated bulk-email service for those;
- hide or forge sender information, or use misleading subject lines; or
- ignore unsubscribe requests or complaints from recipients.
We may apply sending limits to protect the reputation of our servers. Sudden high volumes of outgoing mail can lead to a temporary block while we investigate.
3. Prohibited use
- phishing, fraud, scams, or impersonating a person, company or government body;
- sending or storing malware, ransomware or links to them;
- content that is unlawful under Indian law, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to authorities;
- harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence or hatred;
- infringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property;
- adding domains you do not own or are not authorised to manage; and
- reselling or sharing mailboxes outside your organization without our written permission.
4. Security and the network
- Do not try to access other customers’ data, accounts or organizations.
- Do not probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities except under our responsible disclosure process.
- Do not overload, disrupt or bypass the limits of the Service.
- Keep passwords safe and do not share mailbox credentials with people outside your organization.
5. Enforcement
If we find or are told about a breach, we may, depending on its severity, warn you, limit sending, suspend mailboxes or the organization, or terminate the account. Where the breach is serious or ongoing, for example active phishing or a compromised mailbox sending spam, we act first and contact the organization owners straight after. Suspension or termination for breaking this policy does not entitle you to a refund.
6. Reporting abuse
To report spam, phishing or other abuse sent from our servers, email abuse@shwastik.com and attach the original message with its full headers. To report a security vulnerability, write to security@shwastik.com.
